Saffron At Muharraq - Bahrain

Before I went to Bahrain..
I saw few tweets from fellow Bahraini bloggers about the amazing place, Called Saffron by Jena.

So I decided to give it a try.

I got lost in Old Souq of Muharraq!!
But it was fun :)

Enjoy the pictures

Motoot.. The fish they use to make Mehyawa..

And Finally,
We found Saffron..
It opens at 5:00 pm..
we reached there at 5:02.. and by 5:06 it was full mashallah..

The Decoration looks really vintage, with old songs, mostly from Bahrain and Kuwait as I remember

The place is relatively small but cozy and feels like home..

Free dates with Lebneh, until you decide what to have.

Chai 7aleeb with saffron (Tea, Milk and Saffron)
Tastes good, but not as I expected.. the metal mug looks and feels cool! for photography. but in reality, metal gets very hot when filled with hot milk..

Saffron Cake (قرص عقيلي)
Things that goes together..

Zenjobari Bread, Cheese and grilled Onion..
Nice for a snack

We also had Dates cake, but it was so gooooooooooooood, we forgot to take a picture of it :(

Anyway, they offer so many fresh verities of food, that comes daily from Jena Bakery as I got to know from the waiter. So nothing you eat there is frozen.

Will give it another visit for breakfast on my next visit to Bahrain.

My bill!
Sounds reasonable for two people and almost 5 to 6 orders
